Canine Good Neighbour
Canine Good Neighbour is a Canadian Kennel Club programme developed to promote the appropriate socialization of ALL dogs. A CKC certified evaluator observes the dogs at twelve stations that have been designed to simulate real-life situations. A description of these is
available to the handler beforehand. If the dog receives a “pass” from the evaluator, it’s owner will receive a certificate from the CKC several weeks later. If the dog is deemed “not ready” to pass, the evaluator will discuss the reasons with the handler. To be tested, dogs must be six months of age and vaccinated and licensed according to local and municipal requirements.
RVO offers CGN testing at least annually.
