RVO & FTC Hospital Visitation Programme

Teams of RVO Club members visit various nursing homes, senior citizen centres and extended care units in the Fredericton area with their dogs. This programme allows residents of these homes an opportunity to pet, discuss and watch a variety of dogs. Each dog must pass RVO’s Hospital Visitation Screening Test before being assigned to a visitation team. This test involves hospital equipment (ie. wheelchair, crutches, etc). To qualify, participants must have a well behaved dog (two years or older) with at least one level of basic obedience.

We want to thank everyone for attending held our first "social" event for the Hospital Visitation Teams held November 18th at the Heritage Centre. For those who were unable to make it, here is a copy of the questionaire that we had everyone fill out. Please print and fill it out so we can add your views with the rest of the teams. Also we are asking that you bring in a veterinary certificate stating that your dogs shots are all up to date. This form is also provided for you. Please print it off and return it to RVO by the end of January. You will be required to resubmit this form every year. The next Hospital Visitation Testing will be held in January. Please contact us if you are interested in anyway.
